Here's a 7-year old Google Cardboard-era question. I found a couple cheap comfortable phone VR headsets while thrifting. Is there an app I can use to load ordinary photos of my choice (like a picture of a fire hydrant, for example) and look at them with the headset and my phone? I don't know whether I'm imagining just the photo itself or as an AR situation. I just want to know if it is easily possible.
There are several YouTube videos I found of using the Cardboard Camera app to take panoramic still photos which you can then view in the same app as still photos. But this app has been removed from both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.
