Forgive my ignorance but what's the point of this rather pricy board?
Why not any Amiga with some accelerator instead?

It's for people who do not want to accept that the Amiga is dead.

I'd rather use MorphOS on some old G4 than wasting money for such nonsense. But each to their own.
