Not sure if anyone might be able to help on this board... my RS keypad is on its last leg. It was part 49-484/49-485. Apparently it is a 4 bit keypad. I contacted Honeywell and they said MAYBE a 6150 Ademco keypad would work. The question I have is addressing. Is anyone familiar with the original dip switches on the back of the keypad and addressing? The 6150 manual shows this:

The keypad can either be set for an address of 00-30, or to

the non-addressable mode (31). The keypad's default

address is 31.

So Im not sure if I should pick up a used on to try out, thinking about doing it at this point, but to have the features of the original RS keypad, would I leave the Honeywell at 31, or program 00-30 and if so how would tat correlate to the RS keypad? If anyone can help or point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

There is a really good chance that keypad is specific to that piece of hardware. Your best bet is to try and find NOS, and think about maybe getting a spare as well, so you don't have this problem again as parts will just be harder and harder to come by as time goes on, if you plan to keep the system.

Thanks. I wish I could. Finding NOS is like finding the Holy Grail... lol I still may try out the Ademco 6150... but wasnt sure on the addressing. Thx again.

That sucks. Unfortunately, unless the default addressing is covered in the manual somewhere for the original keypad, I don't know of any way to determine the addressing for the system other than snooping on the bus and analyzing the information that comes in when it is communicating. Maybe someone else here can think of something else.

From what I am seeing the Safe House 49-535 can be used as a supplemental keypad, but is only for entering the code, it has none of the other features.
